Mk2 window switches on console

To put a simple question simply... anyone know how to access the window switches on a mk2 on the centre console. The "up" button on the drivers side seems to be stuck, as there's no clicking sound, and the green light is on permanently. The window will go down ok, but not up using the button.

Does the metal face plate come away from the main pod or do you have to take the whole pod out to access it?

P.S. First drive of the year today, and I think i'm going to set myself a challenge of getting all of the niggles fixed before Chatsworth, and use the car every week for the rest of the summer!

Remove the head unit and cage, then you can either get your hand inside, or take the complete pod off by removing the two bolts securing it to the top dash cross member (if that makes sense?). When you put it back together make sure the ribbon cable to the start button is secure, imagine how frustrating it is putting everything back together then finding it's not working
