This looks a very tidy & well priced car, bargain for someone.

8 owners is never a good sign IMO ! And what does he mean by it needs some tlc ? Great buy if its a good car but worryingly cheap for a 4.5 !
This is what I'm nervous about, and although, the seller has a genuine reason for sale, it is my first TRV, so im a bit wary. It has also been laid up for a while, so im not sure if that is a good thing...?I would be keen to know if anyone else has viewed it or has any more info on it?
Thanks
The number of previous owners can only be a consideration as to whether to view, not whether to purchase.
It's still more than twice the price of my 4.5, but it is a far more desirable 2001 model.
I really don't think it's overpriced, I can't quite understand why anyone would think that. However the market will be the final arbitrator.

I had quite a few chats with the owner about this car and the mechanic who was going to put it through the MOT.
The owner unfortunately is suffering from ill health which is stopping him from doing anything with the car. A friend of his who used to work for Austec racing is sorting the car out for him. He says the price is about right for the car, as it needs a little tidying up. Structurely, he said the car was sound, but could not comment on mechanics until he got it going.
The car would not start because the ecu had failed due to water ingress and when i spoke to him last they had a new one on order. The car has done 52k miles and the current owner has had it since 2007 or 2008. One issue was that Austec racing had ALL the paperwork and there was a problem with getting the paperwork.
However, the owner was definitely in love with his car and was only getting rid because of his ill health and wanted the car to goto a good home. Whether there were financial pressures because of illness i can only guess at.
Anyway hope that helps
Cheers
