exciting estate do they exist

Plenty I'd say, Swedish or German being the way to go IMHO...
9-3/9-5 Aero (I'm biased towards the 9-5) - plenty of horsepower and within budget.
Not over in Sweden, but imagine that puts a V70 T5 in range as well (if you want a shed you could probably pick up an 850 T5R for less than budget - best of the bunch I'd say).
For 3k you probably could get a scrappy 330/335i Touring, possibly a 530, unless I'm completely out of touch with the used market at the moment.
I've seen Merc C63s down there before, but would definitely wonder what's wrong with them.
Someone also put up a Nissan Stagea... don't know too much about them myself but with Skyline pedigree I doubt you couldn't call it exciting.

Nissan stagea comes in various different flavours all potent and probably the biggest boot iv ever seen this side of a lwb van.
Do it you know it makes sense!
They're massive, heavy and thirsty though. Dad and a mate have both had 2.5NA (200ish bhp) AWD Stageas which were considerably thirstier than my twin turbo Legacy as well as being much slower.Do it you know it makes sense!
Nice enough cars but I was always happy that I'd gone for the Legacy instead.
