Midlands hoon

I'm getting bored of driving back and forward to work and never giving my car a chance to get properly warmed up and stretch it's legs. To solve this issue I think a spirited drive with a few like minded PHers is in order.

I have no idea where the best b roads are to be found so we will need route suggestions from a few locals. I'm thinking a central meeting point followed by a nice drive to a pub, have lunch then head home again. Maybe 200-300 miles?

Mid/late March should bring the weather and plenty of time to get it in your diary/ask permission if you can a Saturday off trudging around ikea.

Anyone one want to join me?

I'm in Nottingham. I sort of assumed that heading towards Wales would be the best option but I'm obviously open to suggestions.

Great stuff. I'm currently waiting on a rim coming back from being straightened then I'll be able to get a date sorted. Remember to avoid those potholes!

Put me on 'the list' as well please, only in Bham until the end of March as moving for work but would be interested in squeezing as much out of Wales and surrounding roads before moving back to London! Drive an MX-5 though so you lot would have to wait around for me at the top of all the hills...

I live in Coventry, and have done a fair few welsh runs.

Devils bridge...some of the best roads in the UK....but you need brave pills to get a wriggle on!

They'll be back this yr... I've not arranged anything for the last 18mths, as I've been busy in the garage with the tools! I reckon I should be good to organise something around May time.

There's always the SS next weekend to plan for too

I'm always keen for a romp across to Wales! I'm in Shrewsbury so on the way...

The last few runs peeps have suggested in here have come to nothing, so I think it requires a firm approach to setting a date and sticking to it

If this suits the majority then all we need is a route. Options are Elan valley and Devils bridge or the evo triangle. All opinions welcome.
