Weird electronic bleep

Can anybody shed any light please?

I currently have a Mini Cooper Auto. Once I start it up, there's a weird, loud electronic bleep about 10 seconds later. I have absolutely no idea what it is or what could be causing it.

Can anybody help?

If the outside temperature is 3C or lower it'll beep and the temp will flash on the display. Could that be it?
