I'm currently looking at some front pads for my Chimaera (P Reg), and I've found two seperate Pagid pads, one is more expensive. The main differences are as follows:

Pad 1:
Price: £20.10
Thickness: 17.5mm
Height: 46.4mm
Width: 151.4mm

Pad 2:
Price: £26.34
Thickness: 18mm
Height: 52.5mm
Width: 151.4mm

Can anyone tell me which is the correct one for my car? I can figure it out!

Tvr owner that's an interesting point, I thought they sounded expensive, do you know how much better they are, do they bite better and not fade when red hot, track days! Thanks

Think you will find the Ferodo ds2500 probably the best for fast road and track but there over my budget ! I`m very happy with the EBC Yellow stuff pads ,only down side is they`re a bit dusty.

Thankyou for the replies chaps.

Can you link me to the Ferodo DS2500 please? I find this whole thing a minefield as I have ended up ordering the wrong parts before!

Cheers

Pads can cost a fortune, but pointless without good fluid. DS2500 pads are ok if your not pushing brakes, EBC is cheap but you get what you pay for.

Go braided hoses, quality fluid (castrol SRF or similar) and then DS 2500, or Mintex1166, try and duct some cool air to the discs and that should be adequate for most road card driven hard on track assuming the other bits if the car are fairly standard.

Pagid stuff is quality, caveat above.

The only fluid ive ever had an issue with bizzarly

Is srf, i use ap600

I wouldnt use ebc on a push bike.

I tried them in the chim and they were very unpredictable,

We tried them in a classic racer and changed them for old mintex
Before the race !

Ds2500 were good in the taz with the 304 disks ap calipers.

Tuscsn on carbon metalic at the mo, nevet tried pagid.

Got mintex on the disco less 150 for disks and pads all round ! Half a single disk for the tuscan!

I should add though surprisingly im really light on disks and pads so others may get different results

These have been getting a reputation for disintegrating on the SELOC lotus forum. Keep an eye on them. Good pads though otherwise.

Can anyone post any links? What are the brakes actually off? Most Motorfactors seem confused when you ask for TVR brakes.....I know they're Sierra but what exactly?

IF you have the 260mm disc's ask for Sierra 2.0 litre pads, Earlier Chimaeras with 240mm disc's are 1.3 / 1.6 Sierra.

Not quite in the same league as some of the stuff mentioned above but for "normal" road use I'm pleased with these... Black Diamond.

Are the pads for your car or Nicks Tony?

Ask Nick about mine. He experienced over 150 to 30 with my standard front discs but with CL pads.
