On that note, Tractor pull. Although I prefer the ones with a "deesull" engine to the turbine ones.

Another Tractor Pulling fan here. Not a sophisticated sport but the raw horsepower and the engineering is astonishing.

Me too. Tractor pulling, NASCAR, truck trials (usually in eastern Europe - high %age of Tatras), hell even drift.

Tractor pulling, monster truck and swamp buggy racing. Essentially horsepower and noise based sport.

Yes I also like pickup trucks and my neck burns easily!

Try Motors TV, there is a surprising amount of classic rallying on that channel. Also how is this a guilty pleasure? Are you a member of Greenpeace or Brake?

+1, my son had a PC game of this and it was amazing to play, one small error and it took you 3 or 4 laps to recover. The steel testes needed wheel to wheel at the top of the banking add to the fun. The oval racing episode in Nigel Mansells Autobiograhphy also makes great reading. That was in CART of course an even more excitng open wheel formula. Anyone who says banked oval racing is boring just hasnt spent enough of their life learning about cars.

Tend to watch a lot of NASCAR, Monster Trucks and Drag Racing when I'm staying at the in-laws as ESPN is one of the few English-speaking TV channels they have. NASCAR is okay, Monster Trucks are a good laugh and there is one really entertaining programme called 'Pink's All Out', which is basically a 'run what you brung' drag racing show. Great stuff!

My three year old is addicted to Monster Jam that shows on (I think) Extreme or Motors TV on Sky. There was a drifting competition show on afterwards the other day and some of that was pretty entertaining.

Then there was some V8 speedboat things going round a really tight water circuit, that looked bloody hard, the engines sounded awesome and the crashes can be spectacular.

I caught this a few times when they used to show it on Channel 5 and actually quite enjoyed it. Do you need Sky to watch it now?
