He's been trying to find a new home for that for a while, Its worth nothing like that kind of money, should change hands for the price of a pint of beer. I think I posted an add on the Fairey forum for him at one point.

Louly - she's lovely, chap called Derek, he's worked incredibly hard on her and a real credit to him, I nominated him for restoration of the year with CB Mag a couple of 3 years ago, got into the final ten.

Could be a lovely boat.Regarding the asking price does that reflect what it could be worth once finished,or even if completed to a similar standard to Louly would it only ever be worth £25-30k? In which case £9k is a bit steep....

£9k certainly far too steep in my humble opinion, a wooden boat that needs a rebuild is basically a liability not an asset, ask me how I know, I've been at this wood boat thing for 11 years. I paid far too much in the first place, dreamy eyed 30 year old that I was. I've been knee deep in sawdust and glue too many times since, the rose tint specs have faded, wood boats in that state should change hands for a pint of beer.

I think, in truly top form it could be worth up to £50k odd. Maybe.

I advertised it for the owner in May 2012 on the fairey website.

Probably easier to build a new one, and use that one to fuel the workshop stove....
