I love the quietness of the diesels. Because of the lack of noise, they seem even quicker than they are as you're expecting there to be lots of noise.

Never understood the Audi hate. it's 3 cars out of 56, what is the problem that they go 'whoosh' instead of 'grrrrr' you still have 53 other shouty cars out there.

I know there is a general aversion to change round these 'ere parts - it's just a bit of variety!

I should imagine it is the acoustics of the circuit - it's right by the hotel and bridge rather than the plains of northern france

Don't get me wrong, I love the sound of the 'Vettes and the screaming Ferraris and Astons. In fact, they're almost worth a lazy but the woosh of the diesels is just as good.

My first Le mans was 1998, the noises were amazing, Panoz, Vipers, Ferrari 333sp!! the best sounding car!!

Noise gives cars speed, The Audi killed P1 for me with the noise, its the GT cars that are the stars now. This year should have Aston back, 911, Viper, Corvette, and Ferrari... its gonna be noisy!!
