Evening all,

A couple of enquiries regarding the rear perspex screen -

1 - The car has the uprated window clips (Allen key req to loosen/tighten etc), should this allow me to drive the car briskly with the roof off without the worry of the screen popping out?
2 - The screen has some annoying scratches, is there any product which might remove or lessen the severity of the these?

Cheers

Richard

Hi Richard

I have managed a fair few leptons with the roof off and rear screen in with no probs(and have the metal clips)

I also tried to clean the perspex up using a product someone recommended on here. I have some at my house and used it however have never got rid of the really fine scratches and they show up in the sun. It did get rid of a couple of deep ones though. (maybe need more patience)

Thanks Greig,

So is it the product from "AirWorld" that you have? I'll have a better look tonight when I'm at home as I need to do something with the scratches.

You'll need to go canny when you get your Tuscan back, the weather here is rubbish at the moment - gales, snow, sleet, frost, rain; that said I did get the car out at the weekend with the roof off - a short respite with some sunshine!!

I could maybe give you a lift down depending on when you want to collect.

Cheers

Richard

Hi Richard

Yup its the airworld one that I bought. I need to sit down and use the really fine polish to get rid of the tiny scratches that you can see in the sun.

CHeers for the offer but I get back from work in Romania on Monday and am heading down on Tuesday morning so guess you will be working away.
Good effort on the roof off. Willvgive you a buzz and see if we can meet up at some point.

Cheers

Well I duly bought the cheaper "plasticshop" polish paste at £9.99 (inc P&P), it's made a big difference to the screen and has removed the bulk of the scratches. Would certainly recommend this as an alternative to spending £120 on a new screen clap.
