Sorry if it's a repost but we need to defeat these people who think "it's snowed for 2 mins - DON'T GO OUT THERE"

To be fair, it couldn't get a grip down because of the ice. The bloke trying to push it was struggling the same..

Why is that Yaris trying to drive right up behind the Astra that is clearly going to slide backwards down the small incline.

Strange people doing strange things.

I also liked how the nearside mirror was folded in on a camera car towards the end of the video. rolleyes

Even bearing mind RWD and wide, low profile tyres, C Class Merc's do seem particularly hopeless in snow/ice.

Why can't I ever see these things being filmed. Would be oddly satisfying to pull up in another RWD car, chirp off a Nelson "HA" then pull off without issue.

My C63 is truely woeful in the snow or ice. I couldn't get it off my driveway the other day at all. It actually sat there for nearly 2 weeks as it simply wouldn't move. It just spins the wheels instantly. I had an E46 M3 before and that was nowhere near as bad.

If I was that guy there's no way I would try and push her out, a bit of frost bite should teach her a lesson. In buying a 4x4 on summer tires hehe

Doing it wrong.

Needs to reverse and get a run up, and give it a nice smooth drive up. It's all about momentum.

Mind you I reckon she'd have got more grip on the pavement from the snow from that bit of road.

I see something like that, and I leave my car at home. Not because I think I'll get my own car stuck (I am of course a Red Bull throwing powerfully built executive), but for fear of getting stuck behind someone like her.

The roads will grind to a halt regardless of the tyres you use. Your speed is dependent on the progress of others.

To be fair my 1997 shed M-Benz C200 Auto did a wonderful job of coping in the December 2010 snowfall up in Scotland.

While my collegues failed to get into work in their A4 Quattros, the plucky little Benz was scrabbling it's way through unploughed roads. Perhaps it was helped by the fact that I really didnt give a toss if it got damaged and just kept going...

Think that reporter was a bit dopey standing there whilst that van reversed down the hill. Bit of ice, goes sideways and crunch. Small chance mind, but I wouldn't be standing there.

What are the odds on the tyres of that Mercedes being worn to buggery? I don't want to sound like I'm profiling but...

I was not sure whether it was reversing or sliding! It reminded me of the Youtube clip with the commentator being buzzed by a low flying Spitfire.
