V8S Brakes and handling

Ive read posts about the brakes on the S not being so hot, could be better etc ... same with handling and comments of other cars getting the better of the V8S series on the twisty bits.
Not having had another car with which to compare, outside of "Porsche 911 V TVR on the twisties" threads, how would everyone rate the S compared to the majority of "normal road going cars"?
My brakes seem sharp enough, only had to break hard 3 times (one instance worth mention was asking the girlfriend which was to go, right or left... she kept changing her mind, I kept going straight and I ended up skidding to a stop in front on a bollard

re: steering, the first thing I noticed (and she commented upon) was that the car had very little roll, it just went into the corners as if on rails, although thats just my/our limited experience with cars though. Nothing compared to wildfires minis which take corners at 90 im sure, but his car isnt a "standard average car"

V6S vs 993 Carrera. I was struggling a lot. Went out with Polar993 the other day. 70+ and I had nothing. Twisties, struggled a lot. He does know the road though which always helpes.
4 litre Chim vs My mini on roads of my choice, no contest. I did chose very, very twisty roads with little to no straights for him to catch up on.

My brakes are very good as some of my passengers will confirm!
You can tell most is biased toward the front tho.
I have drilled grooved discs with Green Stuff pads fitted.
On long sweeping bends in the dry my V8S is great, it has good turn in and lets you know when the rear is loosing grip / on the limit. Definitely much faster than most cars out there, especially as centre of gravity and weight are low and tyres etc are large. I don’t know about yours, but on a bumpy B road my S is crap and shakes the hell out of me, the back feels skittish gunning it out of a bumpy corner and you have to keep a tight grip on the wheel. Not to mention gritting you teeth every time you go down a dip in case the exhaust grounds out. To be honest the car was not designed to be driven over surfaces like this at speed and perhaps my shocks have seen better days.
On A-roads driver skill will probably limit your speed before the cars handling does, as will the size of your cobblers. On a bumpy, crap surfaced B-road I would be faster in the 16V MK2 golf. In the wet it is just
Some people say the brakes are good enough. Personally I think they are crap as standard. Yes they will stop you, well at least the first few times you try and stop, and they have good feel and are progressive. But, if like me you enjoy a good fast drive across somewhere like Milton Keynes with a series of dual carriageways linked by 2/3rd gear roundabouts you will have sever brake fade after about the fourth, or fifth roundabout (especially if you have to come to a complete stop too often). I am planning on up-rating my brakes this winter with oversized disks and callipers, some decent fast road pads, cooling ducts too.
That said, my style of driving has led to brake fade in a Meastro 1.3L, a 1L D reg Polo and the Golf 16V (I melted a set of EBC greenstuff pads to the disks) and set the Meastro’s pads on fire.
Perhaps I am not the best person to pass comment on brakes.
