I'm considering it having done Knockhill before.
Though I wouldn't call 50 cars on 1.2 miles circuit low, but hey...
Btw, why wouldn't it be on their WWW ?
It`s not 50 cars on circuit at once! It`s 50 cars booked on the day, circuit limit is less than that.Though I wouldn't call 50 cars on 1.2 miles circuit low, but hey...

They only gave the event the go-ahead a couple of days ago, guess they haven`t got round to updating the website yet.
So glad I spotted this - booking on it first thing tomorrow.
Love full day OPL, and very rare at KH.
Whoosher - you/I were running close together last year...although you are a better driver than me

To date you are the only non-7 type car that has been slower than me on the straights and faster than me in the corners*

- there are lots of other cars quicker than me everywhere and also 7's that are quicker than me on the straights and slower in the corners

Lol! I have tried that a couple of times but it doesnt really work. By the time we get strapped into the car etc there isn't much time left. Plus with helmets and aero I really need an intercom so that I can get immediate feedback.
KH do stand alone tuition sessions, which are a bit longer - I was hoping that if I did one of those then we'd get chance to fit an intercom headset too...

So where does Caterham fit into the knockhill days? They seem to have
Hot hatch track
Cat Track
I will have a road legal Caterham (week today yay) so wonder if road legal status changes things. As for tyres if they are all CR500 will destroy 2 sets on track then probably switch to yoko 48 methinks based on your mail and general consensus

Hiya - I think you mean Car trackdays?
The hot hatch days are cheap and cheerful days with cheap and cheerful cars. A few years ago they looked virtually like banger racing and I think KH got into trouble over it. They are allegedly better run now but I don't/haven't been on them.
They have a lot of cars and are sessioned.
The car trackdays are/were the more "exclusive" days (there used to be a weird guideline that your car was worth more than £10k!) and are the normal trackdays to go for.
Bear in mind that many clubs also run their own days:-
SIDC (the subaru club) run 3-4 a year.
dreadnought garage sometimes runs ones (but I think they have passing on either side?)
Trackscotland - http://trackscotland.co.uk/ - they seem friendly and the day I went on with them was well run.
Something you may also be interested in - the trackscotland people have setup a mini time-attack championship this year. You all go out on track at the same time but try to set the fastest time, so its timed/competitive but it's not direct racing....but I can't remember the name of it/find the details.

Jokes aside though,
you either get stunning sunshine or severe rain.
below a picture of that time it was really sunny...
