There's a bit on our local radio where drivers tell the DJ what's in their glove box - and the presenter then tries to guess what the driver does for a living.

So, in mine, is the manual for the car and a glasses case, so no clues in there really.

What do you keep in your's?

FIESTA - The service booklets, the locking wheel nut key, an LED torch I got for Christmas and the polythene seat cover from the last time it went into a garage "just in case".

MUSTANG - Damper adjuster key.

MONDEO - Wife's junk.

A USB stick and the cable leading to the headunit.

Nothing else... nothing in any of the other cubby holes either, apart from my fuel card.

We've had this before as I remember answering with 8-Track tapes and being surprised that I wasn't the only one!

Elise: no glove box. No boot either at the moment as I took it out to replace the coil and haven't got round to refitting it.

MX5: as part of retiring it I put the glove box back in, and it's got a pen, cable ties, side cutters, fuses, torch, a pair of gloves (I know), receipts from petrol stations, screw driver, Stanley knife and some screwed up maps from autotests.

My car hasn't got a glovebox; the closest it comes is a little shelf thing, which contains a tyre pressure/tread-depth gauge and a garage door remote control.

Car handbook, AA card, pen, mobile handsfree kit & charger, window mount for phone (phone doubles as my Satnav, to be fair!), Shell V-Power club vouchers which may or may not still be valid, fuel receipts, whatever chocolate or drinks were left over from the last petrol station 2 for £ripoff I bought, selection of salt sachets, napkins & straws from various burger emporiums.

My car's a mess, isn't it? frown
