So what makes it a "nice looking 400"?
Think this chestnut of a motor has done the rounds (from memory)
They all look nice to me mate. Probably because I'm still newThink this chestnut of a motor has done the rounds (from memory)

Does make you wonder if there's something a bit sinister lurking underneath though, when they go back up for sale quickly.
I can understand the comment about his marriage though. My Wife is a diamond absolutely no trouble at all. But I think she is sick of the amount of time I spend with my car already. Might have to buy he a new ironing board or something to keep the piece

Ditto here Karl, they all look great to me too!

It's one of the benefits of this forum, lots of really knowledgeable, helpful people on here and they've saved me splashing out money a couple of times so far.
Go careful with the wife, don't go spoiling her and setting a bad example that the rest of us can't compete with

get nagged by unenthusiastic partners etc.
This reminds me..I must get a couple of dice made with Wedge on one side and wife on the other..Also if i was in that situation and she said "Its me or the wedge"..I would say.."Bye bye wife..Its been....Interesting"...Sometimes im glad to be single!!!...
WIFE= Love-Hell
Wedge= love-Heaven
Of course not all SHMBO are the same....That would be un-fair..Just 99.9%...

I may not be an expert on the workings of the TVR, but I am an expert when it comes to women and how their mind work.

Zig you are a lucky man! No wife, No kids, no one to answer to. Life just simply can't get any better for you mate!
However. you are still in love with Delilah, and here is a definition of love in any form:-
To love is to suffer,
To avoid suffering one must not love,
But then one suffers from not loving,
Therefore, to love is to suffer,
And not to love is to suffer.
And to suffer is to suffer.
To be happy one must love,
But to be happy then,
One must suffer,
And suffering makes one unhappy,
Therefore to be unhappy ,
One must love,
Or love to suffer,
Or suffer from too much happiness.
The bottom line is though, in any marriage the man must wear the trousers from day one. Otherwise you won't just not be not getting a Wedge but you'll not be having any fun at all. For a detailed analysis send a stamped addressed envelope.

It looks fine to me...and well-priced.
People do buy cars on impulse sometimes, run short of money, get nagged by unenthusiastic partners etc.
If it comes with 12 months MOT, looks good in the flesh and drives ok, what's not to like ?
I agree Graham, but come on guys, any serious advice or knowledge would be greatly appreciated.... PM if wish to remain anonymous - Jay People do buy cars on impulse sometimes, run short of money, get nagged by unenthusiastic partners etc.

I would say it looks quite an honest advert for a change, clue is in the picture of the Tvr taking the only parking space up of where a handy vw estate should be what with a young family is more likely the issue so that's where the wife's coming from I expect, she has to park hers up the road. So someone needs to pop round there and point out that the front room could be converted to a garage for the Tvr. Parts dept in the hall, and cleaning and renovation spray booth in the kitchen. She gets to park outside in the drive, it's a win win

This car is just down the road from me and so I sent him a message, as he has no contact numbers, asking him for a contact number for a chat and perhaps a quick inspection. He got back to me and said he will be away until next Tuesday and so inspections are available sometime after that. If I get to see it I will write a report of what I have seen. I know what I'm looking at on a Wedge as I have had three so far. However, I have a bad feeling about this car. Reason being, he has had it a very short time, puts an advert in and then disappears, and it all just sounds too good to be true, unless he's just testing the waters. I could be wrong, but I'll know if I get to see it.Tony. TCB.

Thanks Tony,Tony. TCB.
I sent the guy a message when he first listed it and got a similar reply back from him!
I doesn't look too bad, but similar to you, I've got a bad feeling about this one
nothing specific, but definitely someone not 100% rightYour reputation precedes you and I'd be very interested in seeing what, if anything you get to find out about the car.
Cheers and thanks for your post Tony
Hi
Just a sil thing, which nobody has mentioned in the advert!
First reg: 1/1/95
Looks a nice car, yes it has a few faults, but to be honest what wedge doesn't (Wait for it a list of perfect cars will now come up)
It would make somebody a good car to get into the Big Bad Wedge scene.
A years MOT so you have a year to get to know the car and sort out the few faults it has before another list is thrown up!

I am assuming that is a mistake in writing the advert and should have been 1/1/91, because if it came in the country later, it would have a later Reg. would it not? also there is no mention of HPI clear!First reg: 1/1/95
