S2 Clutch Master Cylinder Needed!
Discussion
Hi Tony,
Have a look at the Useful Links Wiki at the top of this S Series forum,
scroll down to General S Info - Alternative Parts List / PH Parts List.
A mine of really useful stuff there, thanks to the collective effort of the kind folk on here.
If you can't get the Girling master cyls ( Marina? ) or repair kits listed, there is an alternative on the bay, it's for Land Rover Series III /90/110 Defender, but you will have to get a new clutch pipe made up as it requires a different end fitting.
Search for: Wapsipurt Land Rover.
Robert Ford-Sagers
Gt Yarmouth.
Tel.01493 393300
£14 inc p&p. so not too damaging to the wallet.
I have no connection with them, just trying to help a fellow S owner.
( & I can't do links! ) HTH.
Cheers, Glen.
Edit: I haven't fitted this on mine, I got the info from a post on here a while ago & noted it down for reference.
How did you diagnose it as master cyl BTW?

OK. thanks for all the information I am getting but I am still a bit confused. Do I order an early master cylinder that fits some Triumphs and Morris Marina or do I order the Land Rover Defender type?. There seems to be a difference in the outlet pipe union size. I found one on Ebay that's an early Triumph/Morris Marina type and comes with an adaptor from 3/8 UNF to 7/16 AF. Is that the one I want or does the Land Rover Defender one fit straight on? Any advice please.

I've replaced both slave and master cylinders with Land Rover parts. All the info is in the link below.

Hi Tony, read my reply earlier; the Marina one should be a straight swap.Tony. TCB.
The LR type needs different pipe end fitting to the TVR original.
OK. Now I understand. The eary Morris Marina/Triumph type Master Cylinder has the correct threads and fittings. I will try and get one of these so that it fits straight on.
Thanks again for all the help and info. Life would be so much more difficult without the help from you boys.
