Looking for some advice from the PH masses

My car got officially written off yesterday due to it being hit (Whilst parked on the high st) by someone who had a Seizure whilst driving!! The person is now ok, and luckily no one was hurt (the driver did not have a previous epileptic record).

My new car will be for evening and weekend use only, as i have a van for a daily drive, and access to a couple of bigger cars if needed over weekends or to see clients etc.

On one hand we have the Mkiv Supra TT6, a car which i have wanted for the last 13years, and at BPU level it will be around 400bhp and should be alot of fun. My only issue is spending around 11-13k on a car that will at best be atleast 13years old (ideally get a facelift vvti TT)It will have no real modern features or toys and im not sure about the stability of its residuals, but the reliability seems to be its strong point.

On the other hand i can buy a 2007/2008 335i Msport convertable which at stage 2/3 should have similar power levels to the Supra.
Although the BMW will have Satnav, xenons, harmon kardon, heated seats and be a hardtop convertable on its side, but it is a very common car and i know once i have it i will wish i had an M3.

What would you do in my situation? my head says BMW as its newer and better spec, but my heart says Supra as i have always wanted one.

- Just to add, 25yr old, insurance cost is the same for either, should be getting a house in the next 6months so i am saving money, and will be taking about 7k finance for the new car. recent car history - Merc w210 E320 cdi, Civic Type R EP3 modded and a e46 320ci which got written off.

I know if i was driving a 335i and i saw a Supra id know i would still want one oneday, but if i was driving a Supra i dont think it would be the same with a 335i...

Supra. You prefer it and I doubt you would loose a pile of cash if you buy a good one.

Supra all day long, there will be plenty of 335's about in year's to come. Supra's will be getting rarer and you could regret it if you don't get it know.
