New Member - Supra Twin Turbo
Discussion
Hi folks, I'm James from Aberdeen. I just signed up to the forum today and thought I'd share some pictures of my car.
It is a 1994 Toyota Supra Twin Turbo BPU in 040 white. It started life as a non-turbo, but the previous owner carried out an engine conversion, fitting the 2JZ-GTE twin turbo lump.
It is a lot of fun - having the W58 5 speed manual gearbox from the non-turbo gives great acceleration due to the ratios compared with the V160/V161 Getrag 6 speeds found in the factory twin turbo models. It was especially quick when it still had the 4.083:1 NA diff as well, but that packed in a few months back and was replaced by a 3.769:1 Torsen LSD from a TT Auto. It hooks better though acceleration suffers (minimally!).
I have an end goal in sight with the car (well, I like to think that I do but we all know how that goes...) and have most of my intended parts purchased and waiting to be fitted once the last pieces of the puzzle are acquired.
I'll show some pictures of the car as it currently stands and show what my plans are!
Current:

Parts to go on:
I have an HKS Kansai carbon fibre front lip to go on and replace the current RMM lip that is on there - should stop it looking like a snow plough

I also have a Shine Auto carbon fibre rear diffuser (Top Secret replica) waiting to go on (like this one):

Top Secret sideskirts will be fitted soon too:

And the last couple of things to do are the bits yet to be purchased/carried out - CCW Classic wheels (18x10F, 18x11.5R):

And an Audi Ibis White respray! Once all of the new parts are fitted and the paint is done it should be looking pretty good I reckon!
Phew! Well, that is enough for now! Thanks for reading

That looks lovely. I'm usually against bodykits but the parts you have picked out from various sources should tie-together really well, the standard Supra doesn't look aggressive enough.
Being a white car, you have to resist the urge to plaster it in Castrol Tom's stickers! (even though the child in me knows it would look awesome!)

That is a stunning looking car! Do you drive it about Aberdeen often? I could well be imagining things but I am sure I have seen it before
There are lots of members up here, I would recommend you head down to the Scotland section and get involved - lots of nice cars, nice people, and the runs are always a blast

i used to work with a guy that spent a months wages on parts for his Supra
I thought he could have afforded it until i caught him sucking on a ketchup sache during lunch hour
Haha to hell with that! Since finishing Uni I've spent a decent whack on getting these bits together but I'm sure it will be worthwhile - I don't like buying twice so have thought out the bits quite carefully and it has taken a while for things to come together, soon though I thought he could have afforded it until i caught him sucking on a ketchup sache during lunch hour

Nice car don't see many supras about anymore. What sort of power do these things make?
326bhp and 325 lbft in standard guise. With the current performance upgrade parts I have fitted it should be sitting at around 400/400. I'm yet to dyno it to gather an exact figure but that is the usual with the parts fitted and boost it is running at (1.2 now compared with the standard 0.8).

Thanks very much! The Castrol stickers would pay homage to one of the first Supras I remember right enough, but it'd need the full JGTC style kit on it to bother IMO and that'd cost a bomb! I certainly do yeah - I drive it whenever I can really as I didn't buy it to look at it (though I do like to

). Good to know there are other members based up here. Would be good to get to a meet-up of sorts when I get back home. I'll check out the Scotland section just now.
