So I'm trying to advertise my wifes car to sell, which isn't going well, I think I advertised it for too much money.
Anyway I contact a trader about buying the car, and he asks if ours is the one on Autotrader that is VERY cheap. A conversation later I realise someone has ripped off my ad and pictures. So I tried to phone them and couldn't get through. So I emailed them about the car, and they said they will list it on ebay, I'll pay for it and then they deliver it.
So, I presume this is some sort of scam, do I just report the ad, or continue to waste the scammers time?

Waste their time first. Them put the emails on here for our amusement.
I found my pushbike advertised on a website once and kept stringing them along for a couple of weeks by saying how excited I was to be sending them loads of money by Western Union. I was asking for more and more ridiculous extras like automatic gearboxes and bullbars with photographs to prove their addition. They had laughable English but were quite resourseful with google image search!
