Selling those is surely as easy as selling donuts to Americans - you only have to stop the chancers from the occasional test drive. Everyone else you only have to show them where to sign - I guess anyone serious about one has already made up their mind before they enter the dealership.

Jesus, guys, have a read back through these comments, then ask if it really paints you or PH in a good image?

She does well at her job, a job which a lot of people would enjoy. Good luck to her.

Some of the comments smack of jealousy, others are just silly.

PH is going to the dogs, more and more knobheads by the day.

well she's obviously not at the showroom 24hours a day 7 days a week. The article mentions that she goes to other countries to bring these cars to people, some people get paid for the full time that they're away. Don't they?

I could say I'm working 24 hours as I respond to emails from my clients 24 hours a day.

Very much this. And as for 24 hours a day, I'd say her phone is on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Any decent salesperson dealing with customers around the world does the same

I bet the jobs not easy, she will need to sell the service the garage can offer (there's lots of veyron's for sale) and no doubt sucker up to each client (as many of the rich I deal with are the most difficult/demanding customers I have)

she gets total respect from me...

Don't they make a loss on each of these? Surely then she's the worst car salesperson in the world in fiscal terms?

This. The people she'l be dealing with and negotiating with will be in most cases the toughest negotiators around.

Contrary to commonly held belief, people don't get rich by accident, they do it with intelligence, skill, bloody mindedness and hard work. They will not be easy people to deal with and they won't be handing out blank cheques in return for a bit of "brown nosing".

I suspect this woman has a great job, but don't be fooled, it won't be an easy job.

Bear in mind she'll be selling these cars, not just taking the orders. That means convincing Mr Oligarch (once you've got through the layers of you-can't-talk-to-him PAs and assistants) that a Bugatti's worth the money. Remember that the customers could buy anything, so the price isn't the issue, but they have to believe that it's got some value to them, and that it's a better idea to drop £3m (car, taxes, plus running costs for a few years) on this rather than a piece of art, or a racehorse.

It's not like dealing with a 250GTO, for which there is no further supply, and massive demand; OK, there aren't thousands of Veyrons produced each year, but the number of people who can afford to buy and run the small number that are made is minuscule. And if she's tapping into that, and selling three times the number than her colleagues, then she's very good indeed.
