What car to buy with 10 grand. But here is the dilemma. I have arranged finance that stipulates the car has to be 2005 or younger. And has to be purchased from an established dealer. So that rules out lots of incredible bargains to be had but still leaves a lot of choice.
I have been toying with the idea of the Lexus Rx I know it's an ugly retch but looks so refined on the inside and let's face it that's where we spend most of the time. Add to that its what car review on reliability the answer "some owners complained of sticking boot latch" it has to be a consideration.
Or do I go the sports route the Nissan 350z looks an attractive choice with leather seats and tip tropic gearbox. But I have a dedicated track day car so do I really want a sports when I could be wafting around in comfort instead.
Any suggestions much appreciated.

You'll get a very tidy MX5 for that money.

The guy asks for suggestions on a £10K comfy cruiser and clearly states he doesn’t want a "sports", why would the reply of MX5 deserve gratitude?

BMW 123d? add the seemingly obligatory remap and you have a nice fast car, reliable and meets your criteria.

You need to look at the C-Class (Merc)

I picked an absolutely immaculate one up in november with only 36k on it for £5600..

It's a very adept cruiser IMHO. I couldn't be happier with it (and I do ca. 20k miles/yr)

Do you need the car to actually do anything specific? Will it be used on long distances? Are running costs an issue? How long do you plan to keep it? Are residuals a concern?

Because he scored a PH cliche reply with his very first post.

The 350Z is good wafter in most respects. Aside from silly wheels and lack of boot space that is.

Can't you just arrange some less restrictive financing and thereby massively increase your list of candidates?

It sounds like the type of deal people with bad credit get offered by the likes of Welcome Finance with an associated stratospheric APR.
