V8 Vantage Clear Lamp Conversion Kit??

I think I have the bug, what with my new sill plaques I am now considering the rear lamp conversion kit for my car.
I have read that the kit doesn't look good with all types of colours. My V8V is Mendip blue 2 and I'm not too sure what they would look like. I suppose I could look out for car in Midnight blue as this us a similar colour.
I have seen images of reds and blacks and silvers with the clear lamps and they look quite good.
Has anyone got the clear lamps on a blue car? What do all of you think about the clear lamps,have you got them, would you get them, would they look ok on my colour car??

My own opinion, is that clear lights look great on a black car, because there is a very strong colour contrast.
With lighter colours, the colour contrast is less emphasised, therefore making the appearance less attractive.
I have yet to find a car color that doesn't look good with the clear taillights. Aston did a really great job with their design. The look almost jewel-like. With lighter colours, the colour contrast is less emphasised, therefore making the appearance less attractive.
Note that there are at least two different kind of clear taillights. One has a light gray trim surround, the other is a dark charcoal, almost black. I have never seen the second kind sold separately, but I suspect it looks better on car with darker colors.

Not too different to my Chiltern Green car... I'll post a picture for you when I'm on the laptop. Definitely works though green and red is a good combo... What colour are your calipers? If grey, then clears are good, if red, the reds still work. If you scroll down to middle of the page on this link

Don't really understand what connection there is between caliper color and taillight color. yeti said:

Yellow callipers would look better on yours

Yeti!! You just cost me the thick end of a grand!! I only went to Grange this morning to have the electric mirrors reset. So when I got there I said to the service manager "Do you have a set of clear rear light clusters in stock................please say no" "Why yes sir, they'll take about an hour to fit" Needless to say the inevitable happened and I think they look great.
