Need an idea of cost to respray a fibreglass body( Élan + 2).

Any recommendations?

What nightmare scenarios are there to look out for with a fibreglass body shell?

I'd suggest a chat with Colin at Track Torque. Lots of experience on grp and other exotic materials.

I think the painter most favoured on here (especially for GRP'd TVR's) is definately Chris Gregory in Knaresborough. Check out his gallery of work here: http://www.autorefinishing.co.uk/
He has rapidly established a wonderful reputation with many, including authorised TVR service garages. I can personally vouch for his quality of work, service and ease to deal with.

I had my TVR done by Ian Ells at Elvington, top bloke, good price, superb job.

He used to work on touring cars some years ago and some of the metal he works on has to be seen to be believed.

Woud not go anywhere else.

Just to give you another option, Specialist Paints are located down the road from where I work and are one of the sponsors for Modified Nationals. Might be worth giving them a call?!

My Cerbera is here at the moment. Haven't used them before but I did some research, spoke to some top end car retailers from Leeds and Harrogate, everyone I talk to has had nothing but praise for their work. I will find out in about a weeks time.

I recommend Chris Gregory in Knaresborough or MS Vehicle Logistics in Bradford (who have done a couple of Elans).

Another vote for track torque. They spend most of their time repairing battered race cars usually Chevrons. Thinik they must run a couple.
