Are you using XP Pro?

If so, Remote Desktop Connection works as an ICA client.

Trying to download an ICA client to gain remote access to certain parts of my university web site. I tried but it goes under an unknown type and says it can't open it.

I never even get a box to start the install after it says download complete.

Help!

You need to d/l and install the Metaframe ICA Client first. The ICA file is just the config file for that.

For a remote desktop connection that will work. Not for launching ICA files thought a Citrix Metaframe interface.

I can connect to our Citrix servers with the Win Term Services client (RDC).

Yes absolutley, so do I... but when you connect you connect over the MS RDP ports and not the ICA ports.

Thanks. I don't have XP pro - just the home one.

Will try and find the Metaframe ICA Client online.
