Lovely 964 Turbo... until you see the interior colour

Saw this gorgeous 964 3.3 Turbo with Speedline type wheels at DK Engineering the other day:

Thought it was black at first until I read the advert - it is dark grey.
OK so far... then I saw the olive green interior and that just kind of let the whole thing down.
Shame, as otherwise I would have been very interested, but every time you drive it you would be surrounded by that interior colour.
I suppose you could just look at it from the outside and not bother driving it!

I'm sure this used to belong to a guy off 911uk. It was for sale on Pheads a few years ago requiring a rebuild due to snapped headstuds for sub £20k.
That's when the guy bought it and did indeed go right through the car spending more than the purchase price again sorting it.
Is it worth £36k? No way, not to me anyway. If it is that car then as nice as it may be now, it's still a high miles 3.3 with marmite colour combo.

There can't be many 964Ts with green interiors around so presumably this is this one changed hands at the beginning of 2009. Can't say that it looks in "outstanding condition" in the advert. Some obvious flaws showing in those pictures.

I had this vehicle in at my premises a year or so ago (SP Autobahn) . It came to me to have the fuelling system modified then properly set up after ctr developments rebuilt the engine then passed it over to me for the tuning work.http://www.dkeng.co.uk/ferrari-sales/331/Prestige_...

When I was finished with it, the car performed great and at the time when finished it is only one of a handful of modified 964 turbos that is properly set up inmho with a proper engine rebuild to match.
Good car for someone if you can live with the interior colour or maybe wish to colour change it.. Considering what work has been done to this car and what else is out there it is worth the money in my opinion,seen and worked on enough other examples to come to this conclusion.. A lot of lower mileage examples potentially at some stage soon will require all the work this car has already had done.

I have changed the interior colour of a 964 before and a 3.2 recently.
I reckon you could do it for 2.5-3k depending on what seats you wanted.
New seats recaro or used black Porsche items
Used black dash top and 3 piece lower dash
Used black door tops or retrim
New RS black door cards
New RS style black carpet
ditch the rear seats
I have not accounted for headlining or parcel shelf.

I like it But then I also still harbour regrets over getting outbid on a Boxster S with full nephrite leather some years ago, I thought it looked great, and I'm sitting on a green chesterfield right now! Political aspirations, or maybe I'm colour blind, I was very pleased when I found my new 911 a few months ago as it had black leather, but I've since found out from the paperwork it's metropole blue - but it still looks black to me!

How many miles has the OP car done? And, I think if you bought the car and lived with the interior for a while, you wouldn't find it such a problem IMO!

I thought it was about 135k when it needed the rebuild, plus whatever it's covered since.
A quick call to the dealer would clear that up for someone anyway.
I would have said £30k given all the recent sorting and spending. You can't add it all on unfortunately. Maybe £31k or £32k as it has the Speedlines on.

Just spoken to DK Engineering.Paint code=L999 (special colour to match customer's specification). Sales guy described exterior colour as grey but agreed it had a hint of green when I suggested it. I wonder if it is similar to Adventura Green?
