I think I've just invented "eggy beans". Boiling some Lima beans to use with a curry, yet wanting to up the protein content by around another 5g to make it a good 35g meal, I whisked an egg and dropped it in with the beans. Gave it a stir with a fork until the proteins did their quick shape-changing trick, seived-out the contents... and hey it was pretty good. Tasted fine. Looked fine. Nutritional content considerably improved.
I figure you could do this with all kinds of meals where you might use beans to replace potatoes or rice.
Anyone got any similar siuple tricks to improve the nutritional content of a meal?

What I eat daily:
~800ml milk
200g of oats
40g of brazil nuts
40g of mixed almonds
40g of walnuts
3 scoops of cheap strawberry/chocolate milkshake for taste
All blended together gives (a huge breakfast) 50g+ of protein. 130g+ carbs. Essential fats (from nuts but cant remember how much)
And all my meals after (will be 4 when I can afford) based on what I buy.
Wholemeal wrap with chicken cheese and bbq sauce.
Protein is around 40g
Carbs i cant remember
And fat is from cheese which is fairly low. I use about 30g of cheese per wrap
So healthy yummy snacks depending on training anyway but the wrap is healthy and nutritional

Add 1 whisked egg to about 100g of boiling beans, gave it a stir. It looked like soup in the pan but served up like egg fried rice, except with beans. Tasted... like a potatoe omlette as Lima beans have a texture and taste just like potatoe... except with a vastly superior nutritional content!
I'm always inventing. (Family are chefs) Feck it. Slap it in, see what's it's like.
