Hi all,

I own a TVR chimaera since 3 years and new to this forum

I would remove the throttle arm pedal of my chimaera to install an adjustable throttle arm pedal of leven.

I do not see how to disassemble the shaft that holds the arm, and how to remove the throttle cable easily

Sorry for my english

Thank you for your answers

The peddle runs on a spindle held on by 2 nuts from memory.

Undo the nuts and slide the peddle off.

You can now remove the cable.

Open up the slot that the cable runs in with a screwdriver blade nod lift the cable out.

Use a tie wrap or similar to hold the throttle butterfly fully open on the plenum, this will give you slack on the cable to allow the end of the cable to lift out of the slot in the top of the peddle shaft. On mine the slot had been closed by someone squeezing it together so i had to use a small screwdriver to pry it open again. DONT FORGET TO REMOVE THE TIE WRAP BEFORE STARTING HER UP.

For the spindle I have 1 bolt.

There are 2 bolts against the wall, but when I try to undo the bolts, the nuts turns also, how can I do to maintain the 2 nuts ?
