As title says

I got engine and box ready to go in

But I just can't find any motivation to get it done

I'm very capable of doing this in a short time, but just can't bring myself to go in the garage and do it, am I starting to hate my car? Any suggestions to get motivated again?

You work on cars all day,
Garage is cold and small,
Goodies cost lots,
You haven't got lots,
Did I say it's winter and cold,

Unless you have a nice roomy garage with all the right tools and parts available, it's hard.

You also want mega bhp which is harder still and costs much more.

Wise man say, have realistic goals and take one step at a time.

Patience smile.

Its a normal response, hated my car and everyone in the world whilst it was in bits, wrong time to have to do it, it's cold and dark, once it's in and running you won't remember this sad day, keep your pecker up old boy, you'll be in love again and that's worth getting up for. I've read your posts and you sound like a guy who knows his st, get out there and show that Tvr who's boss! Goodluck, errr get a load of us freaks to help, film it or something to give interest, watched a web cam of a Westfield being built from drawings on a board, speeded up, fecking great. do that, lol. As I said go on boy you know it makes sense in the end!

I`m in the same boat ,want to get things done ! at least your not choosing double buggies and kicking your son out the double bedroom..

It may have to go for something with low insurance and free road tax confused

Do some interior decorating - works for me. wink

Also, whilst channeling holes in the wall and preparing to instal new bathroom (thank you PPI), I am building my little squirrel of spares for slightly warmer weather......

And I am getting less excited by diverter valves and shower pumps, I am getting more and more excited about Clive's Y piece sitting wrapped up in the lounge, paint to redo dash, act induction kit etc etc....

Do something a little different and you soon get the hunger to finish the job!

Good luck and keep us posted.

I know exactly where your coming from I've got to do the heat shield and drop my engine back in this weekend. both garages are rammed with stuff so I'll end up doing it in the yard outside in the cold...

but just look forward to it being finished, and you'll soon forget the bleeding knuckles and frost bite

And with luck the frostbite will help you forget (not feel) the bleeding knuckles, while a shot (or 12) of whiskey helps you to forget the frostbite.

Keep up with the whiskey shots, and by morning you will have forgotten the whole thing.

Job done.

OK Alex, I think actually you need a few mates with a bit of knowledge, or heckling vocabulary, to get you going.
How many mates do you need turning up at yours next weekend (sorry, too much work to do this weekend, and the forecast is utterly ste) to help and abuse you into getting it done?

Or would it be better to hire a trailer (I have a 4x4 to tow it), and take the whole lot to that place in Coventry with the workshop, tools and ramp for hire, to get it done? Four of us could probably achieve a lot in a day.

You have helped me loads with my car, including the time late last year when came out and spent an entire Sunday sorting out mouse damage for me and wouldn't accept payment of any type - time I repaid the compliment in your hour of need.
