TVRCC Herts, Beds & Middlesex: Jaguar Factory Tour - yes?
Discussion
Hi folks
Before I look at arranging another factory tour for this year - I want to see if there are enough people interested in doing
another round of the Jaguar Factory in Castle Bromwich?
If you remember, we did this tour of their production facilities back in 2011 and greatly enjoyed the day out. However,
I do not want to arrange another one for this year unless enough people are interested in either redoing it or if they
missed it the last time, doing it this time
So, if we can get a minimum of about 12 people, I'll set it up for sometime later on in the year.
The Jaguar facilities are somewhat automated, but the tour guides are retired Jaguar workers who really know their stuff.
From memory the tour lasts about 1-2 hours, although the guide we had last year for our group was very enthusiastic and the
tour lasted nearly 3 hours!
Therefore, if you are interested in going, please let me know and I'll see what the interest is like.
Many thanks, A.

Hi folks
Okay, after some negotiation, I now have some proposed dates for June - which one would
best suit folks and I'll go with the majority...
I chose June because it has the clearest month over the summer period I could find.
Dates in June...
3rd at 10.00 am
11th at 10.00 am
13th at 10.00 am
17th at 1.00 pm
20th at 1.00 pm
26th at 10.00 am
Thanks!

Hi folks
Thanks for your patience on this one.
I have spoken with Julie at Jaguar and booked a tour for 20 people
on Monday the 17th of June starting at 1300.
Unfortunately, due to some tighter restrictions on largish groups
and the fact we went a few years ago, I will have to balance those
who attend to favor Jaguar owners, those who are interested in buying
one and those who put their interest in first.
So, I think I can fit everyone in who has indicated the 17th will work
for them and for those who have not answered yet, I will fit them in
based on the criteria above and hopefully they can make the 17th as well.
Thanks!

I just stumbled upon this old Jaguar promotional film from 52 years ago:
"One Leap Ahead" - a tour of the Jaguar factory (Browns Lane, Coventry) in 1961.
A bit different to Castle Vale in the 21st Century.
