Throttle cable saga part 2
Discussion
Does anybody recognise this throttle cable: it has an Escort Mk1-style round fitting on the pedal end but unlike the Escort Mk1 cable I sent for, it has a built-in screw thread and 2 lock nuts, unlike the nylon adjuster of the MK11 Escort. The carb end is a ball-joint (larger than that of the MK11 cable I also ordered in vain). My return spring is on the carb, not the cable. Engine claims to be a 1300HC, supposedly off a MK11, with a clip on the rocker cover for the cable.
Hope someone can correctly identify it- I am gradually amassing a stock of useless (to me) Escort throttle cables! What are the chances of Halfords being able to match it if I take it in?!
Thanks,
Gregor

Thank you all. I now have a new throttle cable from the embarrassingly-named Escort Agency (www.theescortagency.net). It fitted after a little mini-grinding of the ball joint. I think the cable with the adjustor came from a post 70 MK1 Escort. There's one on eBay complete with linkage just now.
