PSN issue when two users online...glitch or set up?

We upgraded to BT Fibre broadband this week and everything seems to be ok except when I am online on say FIFA13 and my stepson is online on COD at the same time.

we both get thrown off the network at teh same time every ten minutes or so...

anyone else experienced this? is a PSN issue or a Hub / Sharing issue?

Happened to me a while ago as soon as other ps3 would sign in it would kick me off.
I updated my routers firmware and that sorted it for me but I read that you need to set each ps3 an IP address through your router.
