Currently insured with the Admiral group and have personal accident cover, up to £100,000 or similar. Aware that all insurance policies have caveats etc.

However Sheilas' Wheels have quoted me £500 less than this. Although with personal accident cover up to £10,000.

If I go ahead with the purchase I will phone them and ask about increasing this in case of a major life changing incident.

Just wondered if other people bother? Everyone on my team at work said. "I don't know, I've got comprehensive cover, or similar.

You're talking about an element of your car insurance right?

If you've already got critical illness cover then you probably don't need any personal accident cover.

Just look at the wording of the personal accident cover. Do you need it? If you do, then can you get it cheaper elsewhere?

I will look into the details more. I get the impression that most people don't bother with it.
