Road Kill.....AAARRRRGGHHHH

Hit a badger doing 60mph last night. The bloody thing was the size of a medium dog - on steroids. Ripped the front end to shreds. Chunks missing and cracks / splits everywhere. Any ideas on where to get it fixed properly? Anybody else had a bad experience with Road kill?

Yeah, overdid it on the mesquite, and smothered the flavour.

Sorry, couldn't resist. Bad luck. Not sure of where there's a good fibreglass bodyshop near Chester, to be honest. You might want to post on General TVR Gassing to get a wider range of people pondering on it...

Thanks for the sympathy guys. I knew I could rely on you lot to be understanding. I've been clinically depressed for two days because of this. The wife didn't care, work mates sniggered and now fellow cerb owners gang up on me. Where's the rope?

Seems Road Kill is on the up.

Yesterday morning heading to work making my usual 'good progress', bird came out the hedgerow and met my windscreen, one streak of bloodied shit from passenger middle to driver top and a dull thud, later, and a slightly shocked me. I removed my head from the passenger seat, and carried on only to discover I hadn't refilled the washer bottle since the last time I had a birdstrike.

The last night heading home from work join Dual Carriadgeway, I'm of the slip road 2 seconds and WALLOP, limping rabbit doesn't need to limp anymore

So, I kinda know what your going through, but my steel tin box doesn't snap crackle and pop.

Can't offer any advice on repairers but I hope you get it sorted soon mate

joking aside Pilmar, if your claiming off the insurance, I'd be inclined to take it back to Blackpool, & try and get a courtesy car.

Pilmar.....you poor thing.

It's hard when no body seems to care about something you feel deeply about, especially those nearest & dearest to you........not fair at all.

You must be feeling really bad seeing your Cerb in such a state.

It's soooo annoying to hit any animal but when they go and damage your pride & joy it's the outside of enough!!!

At least you probably killed it outright, which saved you the trouble of finding it and wringing the little bu99ers neck!!!

Really sorry to hear your news and hope that you can get her repaired without too much cost and hassle.

That's more like it. Thanks yellowperil. I washed and waxed her today but she still looks bad, surprisingly. I'll have to live with it until I can find some more pennies. Hopefully a front end will come up on Ebay!!
