As some of you may know I'm 'considering' selling my T350 to move onto an R8. What sort of price do you think shes worth as a private sale bearing in mind good 3.6 350s are 22-25k?
Mine is a 29000 mile 4.3 targa with 4 1/2 years remaining power warranty, full hide interior, refurbed and unmarked shadow chrome wheels, air con, full body re-spray last year, carpet retrim in proper wilton wool, gearbox rebuild 12 months ago, de-cat and JP box with originals in the garage, racing red shocks and in fantastic condition.
She's insured with an agreed value of 32k, my thoughts bearing in mind the rarity of the 4.3s and the long warranty on the engine were to pitch her in the high twenties - what would your thoughts be on this?

You don't mention what year it is, but the 4.3 engine is a cracking unit and with over 4 years warranty it should be top of someones list if looking for a T350. I am thinking around £28k.. if the colour and interior are desrerable. But only a guess to be honest.

Strong interior and desirable body colour will ensure good interest, wholly dependant on year, top dollar for an 2006 or later, but consider most likely mid to £27/28 for an 04/05 plate IMHO..

Keep it! Three times I've left thinking the grass was greener on the other side of the fence, but always come back to TVR, im not doing it again! You have such a fantastic car there, its got to be a keeper? If you do sell I would have thought just under £30k?

It's a 54 plate but to be honest Barr the engine there's bigger all in it between mine and a 2006 (of which there's only a handful) and the 4.3 kind of takes care of that anyway. Colour is brilliant silver and the interior is mulberry and flint grey - a much darker red than the horrid blood red seem in some cars. Pics on my profile anyway. Not 100% i'm going to change, I need to ensure I gel with the r8 and more importantly can see the extra monies worth, I have an extended test drive booked for 2 Weeks time so we'll see....

I think you would struggle as a private seller to get high 20's for it. Let alone any more.(keep it! )

That is dealer/warranty territory. All IMHO as ever.!

I bought mine a year ago now, but came close to paying £25k for one with a 4.3.
Someone else beat me to it. I ended up spending a lot less, but its going to end up costing more after all the mods.

If you can find a buyer who knows what they are looking at I would imagine yours being worth around £30k. The problem being that people only know what needs to be done to them after buying the cheaper ones first...
I'm guessing you'd be offered around £22-5 by a dealer for it, who would then pop £5-8k on it.

You're well known on here as someone who is knowledgeable so hopefully that will go in your favour. We'd all like to see you get a healthy sum for it though, it helps when we're trying to justify all those little tweaks to ourselves!

Good luck.

I remember that one, slightly older but only 1/2 a year remaining on the warranty IIRC.

Thanks to all for your opinions, guess I'll wait and see what happens with the R8 test drive. TBH if 25k is all I'll likely get then it'll be a keeper as I couldn't justify letting such a sorted car car for a similar price to that of a 3.6 - I do fully understand however, that you'll never get back what you pay for upgrades etc. I guess if people want a sorted 4.3 that much then they'll have to pay the premium smile
Watch this space....
