E46 320d & E39 528i
Discussion
Hello all fellow PH'ers
I have had over the past 8months a '04 E46 320d. It's had the down pipe replaced with a stainless steel decat from econotune and remapped by AR Performance.
Tomorrow I shall be picking up a '97 E39 528i from Ripley. It was in the SOTW section.
Will get pics up of both tomorrow.

Insurance and running budget permitting would have this setup albeit a 540 or 535 instead of the 528 but can't wait to see pics!!
Insurance for each is just over 1k. Depending on which I like the more out of the two after driving the 528, I may end up selling one on. I guess I depends on age, whereas I'm only 19 I'm looking at well over 3 grand to insure the 5 series and just a little less to insure the 3 series, don't keep us drooling for the pics though! May even help us make up your mind!
But no one said it was going to be easy what with one being good on fuel and the other having that luscious 6 cylinder!

Sold the 528, lost a bit of money but hey ho.
On the 320d, its had the following replaced
front rubber brake hoses
rear disks pads and pads (pajids) sensor
rear driver side light cluster due to wiring fault
front and back number plates
front bushes with powerflex bushes and hunter wheel alignment as was tramlining like hell
On the 30th, its getting the rear passenger side light cluster replaced and some repairs on the coolant system as leaking from the EGR housing and main thermostat housing.
Plans for it are as follows
Uprated intercooler (ordered today from Allard)
Hybrid turbo from turbo dynamics
Uprated clutch
Polybush all front and back

Another update.
The rear light cluster didn't get changed as going to change the LCM (light control module) first due to a constant fault on the dash for both lights and the lcm itself when removed had a burning smell to it.
The Allard intercooler has finally arrived so its booked in for the 25th June to have the front discs pads and pad sensor changed, LCM replaced and the intercooler with new silicone pipes fitted. The map will also be adjusted to compensate for the size of the intercooler.
