I am affraid you will just get recomendations from people to race in the series they race in. I am no different so will say SEMSEC. A couple of us also from Essex race or sprint at Lydden and Brands. www.semsec.org.uk
Regs not yet out but race entries around £220 at Lydden Last year, 2 races and a practice + option of additional races at lower cost. Friendly series and all in the same budget group so driving standard is sensible.

I did a couple of rounds in SEMSEC in an E36 M3 in 2010 at Brands. Wide variety of cars to race against but for me the only reason I didn’t do a whole season with them was that they only raced at Lydden and Brands. Might be different now.

Another one I raced in in 2010 was Euro saloons. Again a massive variety of different cars and power and they do go to a lot of different tracks.

I am biased but you can race it in CSCC "Modern Classics" - 40 min races for one or two drivers. Have a look at the CSCC web site. Very good value track time for your money, or the opportunity to share costs with a co-driver. E46 are eligible because the series has grown out of the previous "Deutsche Marque" series and so cars that competed in thart series get grand father rights to enter the new one, even though an E46 M3 is not pre year 2000 as required by the regs.
