Hi All

I've got the clutch out and am just in the process of ordering a new one.

The old release bearing sits in a black plastic housing. Looking at pics on the sites for ordering new ones they only illustraight the bearing it's self? Does the bearing normally come complete with the housing or do you retain the old one?

Cheers Karl

Been a long time since I replaced mine but ISTR swapping the plastic carrier to the new bearing. As long as it's in good shape it should last a while longer - or maybe Rimmers sell them. I think it's just to reduce friction as the bearing slides fore and aft.

The bearing comes in its housing as a single unit. I would be more comfortable with the old metal ones but it seems that the plastic ones have replaced them - and I discovered the one in the 400SX is plastic bodied too, and that has done 50k miles, so I spose they aren't that bad.
