Do I need telephone USB audio interface?
Discussion
Looking at the spec sheet for my order and reading a few forums, I'm starting to think I should have selected the £70 telephone USB audio interface. Can anyone confirm the functionality?
I've specced the media pack and extended Bluetooth. So if I simply plug my iPhone charging cable into the centre console, with the iphone in the other end, will it allow a wired connection to stream music, charge the phone and use the arial on the roof for calls?
Or would I need the USB audio interface for that? Or does it give some functionality in between. Contemplating reviewing the order and including the option, but don't want to if I don't have to.

- The shark-fin aerial only works if you plug in a 'snap in adapter' (~ £100). It's rare for customers to do this.. the normal 'bluetooth' hands free uses the phone's aerial and is good enough unless you are travelling at 100mph through poor reception and need to make a crystal clear conference callI've specced the media pack and extended Bluetooth. - without 6NF USB audio interface, the normal WHITE ipod cable will only charge your phone, it won't transfer data (music basically). If you want to play music off it, you need to buy an iPhone 'y cable' from your local dealer.. its about £40 so its cheaper than 6NF Telephone USB Audio Interface and can move with you as you change cars etc. Alternatively you can also stream the music 'wirelessly' through bluetooth off your iPhone (if you have option 6NK/6NL/633). Although bear in mind wirelessly you can only go 'up' and 'down' within your playlist/album, you can't actually browse between your albums / move to another one. Also, no album artwork through the wireless streaming.. only the song name is displayed.
Personally, don't bother with 6Nf.. just buy the £40 cable from your dealer which does exactly the same thing. If you go down the y-cable route, do NOT buy a £3 y cable off ebay/amazon... 9 times out of 10 these don't work.
