Anyone that's been watching Ghosties project build over in the kitcar forum (F355 replicas........MINE isn't!!) will know about this project but for those that don't, here it is.

As you can see in the picture above, that's a 3DFS with that boat anchor removed and plenty of space for a decent lump. See picture below....

All of that lot above is going to find its way into the RX7 with no bonnet bulge. Easy? No. Fun, yes!

Watch this space for more pictures as it progresses. BTW, the guy in the picture is neither Archie or Ghost but certainly knows his way around the spanners - drives a Mustang Bullitt so it's all good, even if he is ginger.....

Trial fitting the SR20 without the 3DFS subframe or steering rack. Bulkhead untouched at this stage.

In order to avoid punching the dash with every odd numbered gear change the engine's got to come way back past the bulkhead.

As you might have guessed....the sump and subframe are not good bedfellows.....

The subrame has now been cut and remade to clear this. Next step to see if the block can go any further back toward the bulkhead.

Thanks Diggs. As you can see from the pics we've moved the firewall back about 4 inches in order to get the block low enough to clear the bonnet and also to site the gear level correctly. It's coming on nicely.

I'm a 302 man myself, never got on with the 351 at all but each to their own, it's not without its merits I'm sure. Don't be fooled by the current shed build, I love all cars if they are off the beaten track and a bit different.....
