I'm through to this too.
Is it really worth going I ask? I normally race rear wheel drive Porsches and I've never raced a front wheel drive car.
400(!) are through to the UK driving test at Bedford spread over 2 days. I believe the top 5 are selected. So you need to be in nearly the top 1% to go through.

It's a shame there aren't more of these still. Some were run in a fairly cynical fashion but a few we're pretty good and have helped some people who wouldn't normally have had access to the sport, take part in and in some cases, go on to bigger things.
The one I took part in was pretty good and I can confidently say it was run fairly, yes, mostly the entry fees are paying for the prize, but so what? For team owners, race teams are a business and your entry fee buys you the same chance as everyone else. Most of the people who take part in them and complain that they're rigged, normally didn't win for a reason that is pretty obvious to everyone else, be it outright ability or just attitude.

Would appear that either 400 drivers were not shortlisted or many did not attend.

that list is like a who's who of national or decent club drivers. There were more names that I'd heard of on it than I had not. Except for the first couple Would appear that either 400 drivers were not shortlisted or many did not attend.

I know quite a few people on that list, massively surprised by the order of them and shocked at the time differences going on
