Hi all

I have component Hi-Fi (Denon PMA 250 SE amp, Arcam alpha 7 CD player and B+W DM601 speakers). I would like to back my CDs up and saw the JB7 at a friend's house. It looks like a simple, but good quality bit of kit.

I've read some reviews, but they're all from 2010/11, so I wanted to ask for some current thoughts on here smile.

Many thanks

I looked into them and thought they looked good, until I noticed they don't have digital out.

I bought a JB7 and found it to be quite user-unfriendly. The database is very clunky and it has limited functionality. Editing is very onerous, especially if using the awful remote. After spending a couple of weeks or so downloading all my CD's I got so dis-illusioned with it and gave it away. I replaced it with a Cocktail X10 which does everything the Brennan does plus lots more.

It has networking capabilities, internet radio and you can control it from your PC or stream music on it. The album artwork is pretty cool as well.

HTH.
