Sorry, can you link to a story surrounding the 'demise'?

Ive no idea how well/poorly they are selling in the UK, but they are as prevalent as they have always been here on the continent.
Sorry dude, my mistake, I heard a rumour their sales were bad in europe but they have apparently recovered thanks to truck sales smile

They'll survive, apparently they're opening interactive showrooms where folk will be charged £15 to hear engines revved and £30 to be driven around the car park.

I don't think the cars and the trucks are even the same firm any more.

Cars and trucks are a different company I think! Volvo has just released the new V40 which is a very good! I have seen loads of new reg Volvos especially V60's and XC60s

The V-40 2.5 T5 R-design is a very interesting car! 250bhp 5 cylinder hot hatch!

You realise that every nonsensical original post you make will instantly be quoted before you realise that you've just made a tt of yourself (yet again) and delete this original post?

Volvo Car is owned by the Chinese. I doubt that their future is rosy. Volvo Truck is owned by Volvo and they arent connected.

Lord knows, I've had V70s for the last 10-12 years and they are excellent cars; equally as good as the Merc estates and by and large £10k cheaper. Very comfortable, great air-con, heated seats etc. as you'd expect, some of the best sound systems fitted by volume manufacturers and of course great load lugging ability due to the straight sides and tailgate. smile

The XC90 and V70 are the oldest in their range now and expect to see replacements soon.

p.s. Yes Volvo Car is a separate company to Volvo Bus & Truck and Volvo Marine (perhaps better known as Penta Marine) which are subsidiaries of Volvo AB

its a pity Saab went

They were going to produce a mouldbreaking supercar aimed at the niche market everyone was missing

It came with free zit cream
