Anyone recommend a supplier of bonnet clips, like those on the Cerbera on the cover of Sprint, this month?

Or, are they the ones Demon Tweeks sell?

www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/catalogue/product_detail.asp?PCODE=OMPEB491&GRP=MP078&PGRP=M005&CLS=MSPORT&from=search

I'm tired of watching the trailing edge of the Chimaera bonnet flapping in the breeze, so am going to fasten it down once and for all.

Nowt wrong with the bonnet catch. The bonnet's too flexible and at anything much over the ton it flaps about at the back edges. It's wearing away the bonnet edge and the tops of the wings.

And so do I...

They looked like standard bonnet pins which you can buy from any motorsports supplier. There are various designs available and you can get them in all sorts of finishes, painted, anodized etc.

know what you mean, now you come to mention it, though obviously only ever been a problem on track....
maybe glue some bits of rubber or something to the underside of the bonnet - once you have the height about right it shouldn't have anywhere to go?

just my 2p

^My Bonnet lifts at the front, the back edge is pretty much stable..

Anyone got any ideas how to stop it lifting on front edge???

Oh and this happens at any speed over 60mph... but it stays down at over 90mph..

That's caused by wear around the bolts that form the hinges, where they enter the fibreglass. You can effect a temporary repair by squirting epoxy resin into the gap, but a permanent fix involves replacing the fibreglass section under the bonnet. About £150, IIRC from other postings here.

Do what they do with the Tamora - get sticky rubber discs and jam them to the side of the trailing edge, so they keep it in place. High tech wizardry always works....

(Velcro discs would probably work as well)
