Would accident damaged door be a recorded event ?

so a car i like has been subject to insurance claim and repairs effected as a result. the car im interested in was the victim. vendor states damage was minor and localised to the door (his driver door was backed into) and fully documented but im wondering whether it would be categorised damage (likely cat d or x) and whether it would show on his v5 or v5 of subsequent owner

vendor is out of country at moment so am doing usual background checks

needless to say will run a full hpi report but i want to rule out something which could make it a deal breaker
