Vantage service schedule

So, a lot of the cars im looking at seem pretty low mileage.

My problem is on closer inspection a lot of them appear to have missing services.

Surely these cars need a services every 10k miles or every year depending on which is first right?

Correct. Don't make exceptions, if they've scrimped on scheduled servicing then go for another car. There are plenty of them.

There's a school of thought that says its ok to extend the intervals if you do low mileage. But these people are wrong and just trying to save pennies, they're incapable of running their cars right and should be avoided. Plenty of correctly looked after cars, FSH first and then buy on condition.

Previous owner missed his first one

Mind you, it's been flawles ever since. One careful lady owner, a nun, never driven hard, straight stitching on the door cards etc...

But it goes to show that it can happen and not affect value. But I wouldn't buy a car where the owner had wilfully neglected servicing because they were cheap.

Yet another car checked yet another with missing services, I have never come across such prevalent poor servicing with any other marque.
