I'm hoping to buy Ex-demo or used ( if i can find the right spec ) and was wondering if anybody knows if its possible to take the BOXSTER S tag off the rear boot ??? I like the look of PORSCHE on its own and if i'm not speccing it from new, i'm just curious to find out if it can be removed afterwards without damaging the paintwork ....

Thanks

That's the way to do it.

You may have some sticky residue left after removal, but a good spray of Nitromors will get that off*

That bit might not be true, and I'm not responsible for the outcome.

The only problem is, the word 'P O R S C H E' will sit higher on the boot than if it were factory specc'd as debadged...iirc

Yeah that won't look good.

If you are about to do a deal, tell the dealer you want them to rebadge it as just PORSCHE. I am more than sure that they will throw that in for you. But do explain the PORSCHE needs to be removed and a new one added lower down, where it would normally be without the boxster logo.

Add a little colour to match the Brembos and rear lights. Weird pic. but at least the sky is blue for a change!

I think that Porsche need a serious rethink on its badging. It's starting to look a bit garish and a little halfords.

Less is more.

Simple 'Carrera' or '911' etc. works for me. Never liked the bold porsche badge since they first stuck it on the Cayenne(was it?).

in the Alps in mid Sept 12 ..

I ordered 'model designation delete' and would do so again.

different fonts for "PORSCHE" and model name just looks messy.

Simple 'Boxster S' looks best.

I dont get all this chrome badging either, looks cheap and nasty to me, a bit too Eighties!

Less is definately more on a quality car. Porsche badge on the front, model on the back. Done
