Caterham composite aeroscreen

I am planning on going aero, but I may have to switch occasionally to windscree because of weather / passengers and I'm thinking about getting the caterham composite aeroscreen. In an earlier thread here on PH, people suggested that the composite aero screen is not as easy to swtich as the carbon one. Looking for opinions of people who have a composite / fiberglass aeroscreen before making a decision.

Whichever one you go for, it is a lot easier with captive nuts fitted under the scuttle.

I have the composite aeroscreen and a full screens - had them since new on my car (2007). It takes me about 10 - 15 mins to switch it if I'm working solo. About 5 mins if I do it as a two man job. Captive nuts are a must. Because it's so easy to change, when I go on trips to far away tracks, I have the windscreen fitted (unless certain of sunshine), and change to the aeroscreen at the track. Highly recommended.

There isn't any difference between the interchangeable carbon aero or black GRP (composite) aeroscreen. Both of them use the front side mounting bolt of the normal windscreen and the central poppers on the top of the scuttle to secure the aero in place. The only difference between the two is appearance & wieght (obviously!) and cost - the the CF one is around double the cost of a GRP one but does usually come with matching carbon mirrors

Hi, I´m also thinking about aeroscreen but as i have SV the only one i found is the carbon one. But that´s really expensive for me and i think the composite one will do the same job. Is there some possibility, can somebody give me recommendation? Thank you

I have a carbon aeroscreen and change to Aero for trackdays and back to windscreen for road, I think its the CC supplied one and uses the same fixings so as you can imagine Its a simple job, 2 bolts either side on captive nuts from start to finish job will be 2 minutes.
