Hi guys, any ideas ? i have a 51 plate freelander 1.8 that has been standing for some time , i could not start her after trying to jump her. the freelander started about 4 months ago, i trailered her to a different place and it would not start. thanks jas

What was it doing exactly? Did it fire at all, not turn over???

Has it got fuel in it and was the immobiliser disabling. Have you checked for a spark?

Crank sensor problems are not uncommon on that engine. If that's the case, it wouldn't be generating a spark as the ECU wouldn't know when it needs to...

Hi Guys, Thanks for your answers,
1.) Does not fire up,
2.) i think the problem is the immobiliser, How do i reset it? where on the car is it? and if i take the battery of for 20 mins will it reset its self?
The Freelander was working fine. battery is fine,
so would do you think?
