I got this from South Africa today and just had to share it:-

An MG Midget pulled alongside a Rolls-Royce at
a traffic light. "Do you have a car
phone?" its driver asked the guy in the Rolls.
"Of course I do," replied the haughty deluxe-car
driver.
"Well, do you have a fax machine?"
The driver in the Rolls sighed. "I have that too."
"Then do you have a double bed in the back?" the
Midget driver wanted to know.
Ashen-faced, the Rolls driver sped off. That
afternoon, he had a mechanic install a
double bed in his auto.
A week later, the Rolls driver passes the same
MG Midget, which is parked on the side of
the road—back windows fogged up and steam
pouring out. The arrogant driver pulls over,
gets out of the Rolls and bangs on the Midget's
back window until the driver sticks his head
out. "I want you to know that I had a double bed
installed," brags the Rolls driver.
The Midget driver is unimpressed. "You got me
out of the shower to tell me that?"

I like simple jokes like that, maybe that's why I like classic cars because they are simple.......bit like me I suppose!

Anyone care to type (or even C&P) the one about the fast car and the braces?

I remember one about a Mini that breaks down, and a Jaguar driver stops to give him a tow. A few miles up the road a Rover flies past and the Jaguar driver forgets about his tow, gets the red mist and sets off in pursuit. a few miles further on they pass a traffic policeman who radios in. "Sarge, there's a Rover and a Jag going full pelt down the dual-carriageway and you'll never believe this but there's a Mini trying to get past both of them - flashing its lights and hooting its horn!"

That was in a song. "Beep beep, beep beep, his horn went beep beep beep" and so on. Have a giggle and list to it here:-

hehe Good joke! Interesting also that the Midget featured should be a hardtop, I hadn't expected that. Dear me, I need to get out more.

Thanks for that Lowdrag - but it was "The Impac- Too Far Out" further down the playlist that caught my eye wink

Apparently a Mk2 Jag, a Capri and a Mini feature; other content a little older for me but nonetheless put a smile on my face this morning hehe

Must ask for more bromide in my tea....

Sigh ...back to work

Have a good day Chaps wavey

I used to listen to that as a kid, when we got my mum's reel to reel tape machine out. It's still just as funny hehe

The version the BBC used to play (probably on Children's favourites) substituted Limousine for Cadillac and Bubble car for Nash Rambler, IIRC.
