Water Works

It's that time of life when your water works are no longer as good as they should be. Your tube becomes weak and flaccid and you keep leaking when you go over bumps.

Action had to be taken to stop a possible massive discharge so I had to ACT. Nice new blue pipework ordered and stainless tubing winging its way over to TvR. The bit by bit part replacement has begun.

It does give great peace of mind having all the hoses done.

With the silicone hoses, is it true that it's a once off job?

With the ACT pipework and the stainless steel I bloody hope so .

Possible a few more lines to change if there FUBARed before I've finished. It's not a difficult choice to make when your faced with an ageing car that needs its arteries refreshing.

I had all mine done plus rad. Took a few visits to chase out leaks..

All the pipe work is getting changed in one go and my god the full package of blue pipes would look nice if you could see them .

I just need to see how the metal pipes look after I replace the leaking one with the stainless steel set up.

Once you've ran around with the pipes on for a few days re tighten everything.

I brought a pressure tester off eBay was around £50 with the VW/Audi tank adapter. Not only a great way to bleed the system but good to check for leaks before starting the car and you don't burn yourself.

Now that is a great idea as you know bleeding air out in a cerb is a right royal pain.

Mine was a well worth investment. Used on my jeep to find a weeping rad as well so well worth the money
